Friends of the Deaf Int’l Foundation (FDF) was established in 2017 with the goal of bridging communication gap and promoting educational rights of indigent children with disabilities in Adamo community Ikorodu. We desire to embark on a project to empower Youth and Women with disabilities through the launch of our Vocational Skill Acquisition Center in our community.
The Vocational Training is to help them become self reliant and able to earn a decent living through craft, thereby reducing the number of street beggars, to celebrate International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
Date: December 3rd.
The Vocational Training will last for a period of 3 months per cohort and we plan to have 3 cohorts in a year having 80-100 students per cohort. We believe that with your financial support, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of about 250 youths and women with disabilities annually as they will no longer be seen as a burden on the people of the community, but rather able to contribute to the economy of the nation, using their hands and promoting economic independence.
